Postcards from the Rails
The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge looms over an area of extensive industrial development. After this station, the Railway veers inland as it heads southwest to Tottenville.

At the foot of Vanderbilt Avenue, two blocks North of the Station, 16-year-old Cornelius Vanderbilt established ferry service to Manhattan in 1810.
A town home development, across Bay Street from the tracks, features backyards, the iconic symbol of life on Staten Island.
Looking back South you see the huge Bailey Seaton Hospital, the original headquarters of the National Institutes of Health.
